When a man is eaten alive in the town's lake, a sheriff teams up with a paleontologist and philanthropist to find out what's been lurking in the water.

Shortly after the horrifying underwater attack in Maine's Black Lake, the local Fish and Game officer, Jack Wells, enlists the help of the New York City palaeontologist, Kelly Scott, to investigate.

With only a mangled body as their starting point, Jack and Kelly embark on a dangerous mission to find the mysterious creature, as Sheriff Hank Keough, a mythology professor, and an eccentric inhabitant all want to locate the elusive predator first. But, something deadly is lurking beneath the silent pond, and it's already taken a liking to the juicy human flesh. What is the secret of Lake Placid?

Report a mistake

Same rule as woke labels: one report, a written reason, and the community +1 or −1 it — once per member. A net +5 applies the change. Editors can also apply it immediately.

Woke labels

Members can file a published criterion and itemized evidence. Other members +1 or −1 that reason — once. If 10% of members who weighed in file a label, and a reason reaches net +5, that rank keeps the title omitted from the database. Weak labels do not.
