In Ninja Gaiden II Black, players once again step into the shoes of master ninja Ryu Hayabusa. The narrative unfolds as Ryu's village, Hayabusa, comes under siege by the nefarious Black Spider Ninja Clan, who aim to seize a sacred Demon Statue. Despite Ryu's valiant efforts, the artifact is stolen by Elizébet, the Queen of the Greater Fiends.

Determined to reclaim the statue, Ryu embarks on a perilous journey across the globe, confronting formidable adversaries including the elemental fiends: Alexei, Volf, and Zedonius. His quest leads him to the depths of the underworld, where he faces the Infernal High Priest, Dagra Dai, who seeks to resurrect the ancient Archfiend, Vazdah. Through intense battles and unwavering resolve, Ryu strives to thwart the impending demonic apocalypse and restore peace to his homeland.
