"Outlast" is a 2023 Netflix series that follows investigative journalist Miles Upshur, played by Evan Peters, as he enters the ominous Mount Massive Asylum. Pursuing a scandal, Miles becomes entangled in a nightmarish world of psychological terror and supernatural horror.
As he navigates the asylum's decaying corridors, he encounters a cast of haunting characters, including enigmatic psychiatrist Dr. Rudolfine (Sarah Paulson) and tormented patients. The series employs a non-linear narrative, weaving flashbacks to reveal the asylum's dark history. Miles' relentless pursuit of truth leads him deeper into a web of mysteries and horrors, challenging his sanity and survival.
