A soldier introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.
The Guest is a 2014 psychological thriller movie directed by Adam Wingard. The story follows the Peterson family, who are grieving the loss of their son Caleb, a soldier who died in combat. One day, a mysterious man named David arrives at their doorstep, claiming to be Caleb's friend and comrade. Despite initial skepticism, the family welcomes David into their home, and he quickly becomes an integral part of their lives.
However, as strange events begin to occur, the family realizes that David may not be who he claims to be. The movie features an excellent performance from Dan Stevens as David, who is both charming and menacing, keeping the audience on edge. The Guest blends different genres, including horror and action, to create an engaging and suspenseful story that will keep viewers guessing until the end.
